1. Can we book just one photographer?
Sorry, but we only come as a team for weddings. We can cover lots of angles and situations, we are in two places at once, allowing lots of moments to get captured. An exception to this is family shoots and engagement sessions.
2. You live in Cornwall. Can I book you for a wedding in another country?
We are based in Cornwall but we absolutely love to travel far and wide. In the past year we have shot weddings in Iceland, Scotland, Austria, Spain, Guernsey and Germany. Please check out our 2020 travel dates to see where we are travelling to next. If your country is not on there drop us an email to book your wedding, elopement or couple session.
3. How many hours can we book you for?
Elopements are from 4-hours and larger Saturday weddings we offer 10-hour packages. To find out more please check out out our Pricing page.
4. Do we need to pay a deposit?
Yes, you will need to pay a 30% deposit to secure the date, along with a signed contract within 7 days. No booking will be secure until then and your date will be passed on to other couples if we do not hear back from you within this time.
5. Do we need to feed you?
We do not require food at elopements but for full day weddings it is nice to have a hot meal provided at the time that the guests eat to allow us to be back up and photographing before speeches start.
6. Are all photos edited?
Yes, you will receive all the pictures edited in our signature look and in high resolution without watermarks.
7. How do you edit the photos?
We edit all photos in our own preset for a natural and timeless look. All pictures from us have a consistent look that you can see here on the website.
8. How many photos do we get from our wedding or elopement?
We select all the best pictures and get rid of all the super unflattering ones of you yawing or half blinking. For a full day wedding you get no less than 500 and from an elopement around 250.
9. What equipment do you work with?
We love our Sony cameras in combination with powerful fixed focal lengths. Our favourites are 35, 55 and 85mm fixed focal lengths. All our camera shoot silently so not to distract you or the guests during quiet moments, such as the ceremony.
10. Do you work with natural light or flash?
We love natural light and it is what we work with 90% of the day and it will always be the 1st choice to keep the atmosphere of the day and also to be discreet. We generally only get the flashes out on the dance floor for dancing shots once everyone is too drunk to notice or care. We may use a video light in some situations during winter weddings for family pictures or speeches if there is no natural light available.
11. How long does it take to edit our wedding?
For elopements it will take 2-4 weeks and for larger full day weddings it will take 4-6 weeks.
12. Do we get an online gallery or USB?
All weddings are provided with an online gallery with all the high resolution images. We will send you a link to the gallery in the first few days with your previews. The images are stored in the gallery permanently and you can share this with family and friends for them to download. There is also an option to hide any images you would like to keep private. Full day weddings will get a USB, prints and their box sent out in the post after the online gallery.
13. How early should we book you?
As early as possible for larger weekend weddings. Often, couples book us up to 1-2 years in advance and the summer months are the most popular from May-September.
14. Do you meet your couples in advance to discuss the wedding?
If you live outside of Cornwall we ask to Skype or FaceTime all couples before the wedding. This is a good time to get to know each other and go over any final details and plans you may have. In general the month before the wedding is best.
15. Do you offer engagement shoots?
Yes, these can be booked at a discounted rate with the full day wedding for only £200. The engagement shoot will need to be taken in Cornwall and can not be taken on a Saturday.
